Duration
4 years + 6 months
The duration of the programme shall extend over 4 semesters (2 academic years) of 15 weeks or more each with a minimum of 90 actual working days of instructions in each semester and 2 – 3 weeks of examinations. The successful completion will lead to Masters’ degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology & Immunology).

Program (PO & PSO)
A graduate of occupational therapy at the end of training will be able to: -
- PO1:Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attributes appropriate for a competent entry level professional.
- PO2:Articulate unique contribution of Occupational Therapy professional in- patient care.
- PO3: Explain bio-medical and social sciences concepts underpinning Occupational Therapy practice.
- PO4:Enable individuals, groups and communities to participate in everyday occupations.
- PO 5: Critically appraise the nature and meaning of occupation, the occupational nature of human beings, theories and basic principles related to enabling occupation and occupational performances.
- PO 6: Be proactive in prevention oriented and health promotion practices.
- PO 7:Create high standards of practice, contribute to the profession and participate in the ongoing learning processes.
- PO 8:Recognize intrinsic values of people irrespective of culture, beliefs and economic status.
Expected skill to be acquired by the end of the programme:
- PO 9: Diagnose and identify problems related to functional performance.
- PO 10: Develop need-based strategies for clients to overcome barriers due to dysfunction.
- PO 11: Be competent in research applications and identify best evidence- based strategies in client treatment.
