Our Clinical Embryology Undergraduate Program is designed to provide students with the advanced knowledge and technical expertise required to excel in the field of Reproductive Sciences, Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproductive Technology. This program prepares undergraduates for careers as clinical embryologists, embryology laboratory managers, and researchers in fertility clinics, reproductive medicine centers, and research laboratories.

Through a comprehensive curriculum, students gain hands-on experience in assisted reproductive technology (ART), embryo culture, cryopreservation, and laboratory management. With access to cutting-edge facilities and expert faculty, our graduates are well-equipped to contribute to advancements in reproductive biology and fertility treatments.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have passed in PUC / 10+2 with Biology as a compulsory subject and must have scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) from any recognised Board / Council or any other qualification recognised as equivalent.

Duration

5 years

The duration of the programme shall extend over 10 semesters (5 academic years) The successful completion will lead to Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology.

    After successful completion of M.Sc. Clinical Embryology Program, students will be able to:

  • Overall, the goals of a clinical embryology course are to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in a clinical embryology setting and to contribute to the advancement of the field of reproductive medicine through research and collaboration.

    Expected skill to be acquired by the end of the programme:

  • PO 6:Demonstrate knowledge of basic and systemic embryology including human genetics, genetic inheritance and gene regulation.

  • PO 7:Comprehend normal anatomy and physiology of the male and female reproductive system.
  • PO 8:Develop a basic understanding of endocrinology.
  • PO 9:Independently handle semen and its processing for both techniques – Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and in – vitro fertilization (IVF)
  • PO 10:Competently handle human gametes in the scenario of IVF and ICSI.
  • PO 11:Assess viability of embryos and their developmental competence with fair accuracy.
  • PO 12:Cryopreserve human gametes and embryos, thaw them and subsequently develop them to transfer into the uterus
