The scope of the B.Sc. in Forensic Science program is wide and varied, as forensic science is a rapidly evolving field that plays a critical role in the criminal justice system. Program can work as crime scene investigators, collecting and analyzing evidence from crime scenes. Graduates can work in forensic laboratories, analyzing evidence such as DNA, blood samples, and fingerprints, in forensic toxicology, analyzing the presence of drugs and poisons in biological samples, in forensic psychology, assisting in the evaluation of suspects, witnesses, and victims of crimes, as forensic pathologists, performing autopsies and determining the cause of death, in forensic anthropology, identifying human remains and determining the cause and manner of death.

A candidate who has passed the two years (any stream) of Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto by University is eligible for admission to these programmes.
